IR SilkSkins - Nearly Nude Paddlewear

We've been waiting a while for our first shipment of the new IR SilkSkin paddle tops, since first seeing them at a show in November. They landed last week & I tried one out yesterday on a bit of a blast on my ski. The certainly look the business, with a silky sheer feel combined with full-on SPF50+ sun protection & the beaut flat locked seams that IR have made their trademark. I've christened them the 'Nearly Nude' top, & to paraphrase a famous ad from the '70's, it's like you're wearing nothing at all…..! Is that a marketing angle for the nudists? Nude paddling with sun protection…?
These aren't the cheapest rashies on the market but they're something of a work of art in the construction, & our warm weather cousins should be looking hard at them. The next time I'm in the Queensland humidity & sun I'll be wearing one, for sure. I think I've found the lightweight top I've been looking for on my fitness ski paddles, where a normal long sleeve ThinSkin or Hydrosilk can get a bit heated.
They're available now through our online store for $89, including national delivery.

  1. If it only had a collar (like the IR thinskin/thickskin) then it would be ideal. Without the collar you have to wear a scarf or end up with a red neck!

  2. Matt, next time I see you I'll give you an Expedition Kayaks branded Buff & that will solve your problem. Hope we don't have to pay you too much to wear it….!
